- Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely delivery of freight.
- Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to provide updates on shipment status.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics operations.
- Analyze shipping and receiving data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including freight documentation.
- Operate phone systems effectively to manage incoming and outgoing communications.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve any issues related to shipping or delivery.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics is preferred.
- Familiarity MS Office Programs as well as Electronic Logging software is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using phone systems for effective communication.
- Ability to type efficiently for documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and freight processes is essential.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
