As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.

About the Role

This position is responsible for preparing, setting and aligning optical lens assemblies.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble and/or troubleshoot lens assemblies following all established manufacturing processes and procedures in alignment with AS9100 standards
- Repair or work on existing lens assemblies
- Work with Engineering, Optics, Coating, Machine Shop and Quality Assurance on ensuring standards are met and product conforms to customer requirements
- May participate in the development of new product release (testing, assembly process and documentation)

Desired Education and Experiences
- Precise skill and ability working with measuring tools, lasers and optical alignment equipment
- Previous work experience in an AS9100 and Lean Manufacturing environment is an asset
- Excellent hand-eye coordination/manual dexterity
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills that translate into working in a team based environment
- Experience working with MS office, sound computer knowledge and can work comfortably within prescribed software programs
