**PURPOSE**:
This position is responsible for providing updates to daily, weekly, quarterly, and monthly reports. Supports budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and decision support at UNFI Canada. Works cross-functionally across all levels of the organization to provide timely and relevant information to business stakeholders. This position also supports and provides assistance to various projects.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and updates to management team. Assists in the development of new reports; responsible for complex reporting processes on KPIs. Owns communication and analysis associated with reporting efforts.
- Performs trend and variance analyses; incorporates data from different areas and synthesizes. Findings incorporate cross functional impacts, trends, and industry news.
- Must articulate impact of analysis, modeling, business decision support on key financial measures (e.g. gross profit, operating margin, days on hand, days sales outstanding, etc.)
- Provides support to annual budgeting and periodic forecasting of the assigned business area including variance analyses and sensitivity testing.
- Partners cross-functionally with other departments, as assigned.
- Assists with audits conducted in support of contractual requirements.
- Creates reports and other tools for analyzing trends of various customer types, pricing, margin, deductions and internal processes. Recommends solutions and takes action to address issues found.
- Develops and maintains user documentation for system and operational processes & programs. Serves as a reference resource for the user community, especially as it relates to pricing and margin.
- Participates in the design of User Acceptance Testing for Business Analysis Service Requests worked on by the IT Department.
- Suggests and participates in continuous improvement opportunities undertaken by the Business Analysis Department.
- Provides backup support for functions within the department.
- Interacts with other departments to address issues, requests, and questions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Certification**:
- Post Secondary Education in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent required
- CPA or CFA designation preferred.
**Experience**:
- 1-3 years’ experience in, management reporting, decision support, budgeting, and forecasting preferred.
- Demonstrated success in identifying areas for business improvement.
**Required Knowledge**:
- Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills required
- Intermediate level Microsoft Access and Word skills required
