We have an immediate requirement for a full-time Payroll Clerk to assist in all activities regarding the processing of employee compensation and supporting our Accounting and Human Resources departments.

The successful administrator must understand the concept of confidentiality, have strong communication skills, solid numerical aptitude and attention to detail, excellent organization skills and be able to multitask effectively.

**Job Details**

**Salary**: $45,000-50,000

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of time and attendance system
- Maintain employee records within our internal program
- Review payable hours, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions
- Prepare and issue earnings statements
- Process all government remittance; Receiver General, WSIB, EHT, etc.
- Provide accurate information and answering employee questions about their payroll-related matters
- Review, adjust and issue year end T4’s; including all required government remittances
- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure correct employee data
- Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department
- GL reconciliations for all payroll accounts
- Ensure payroll practices meet legislative requirements
- Other duties as per requirement

**Requirements**:

- 1+ years of working experience is required (PCP certificate an asset but not required)
- Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; with strong Excel skills
- Solid knowledge of relevant government legislation, policies and regulations
- Familiarity with general accounting practices
- Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines
