**Responsibilities**:

- Drive a ¾ ton pickup, delivering agricultural equipment on tandem flatbed trailers that are 12/18/20ft, within and outside city limits.
- Proper strapping of equipment, safe driving practices and pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicle
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
- Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift cargo and guide loads.
- Adjust controls to guide, position, or move equipment, such as forks.
- Delivery of equipment/parts to customers and picking up of payment if necessary
- May require after-hours work (flex hours) for deliveries and pickups from customers.
- Follow instructions and promptly respond to management direction.
- Maintain an orderly and clean service truck, including records keeping.
- Observe all safety and security procedures and report to the Fleet Manager any potentially unsafe conditions, hazards, or faulty equipment.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years working in a similar position
- Minimum of 2 years driving with tandem flatbed trailers 12/18/20 ft long within urban areas
- Experience with proper strapping and tie down techniques, including winching and towing of immobilized equipment.
- Valid and in good standing driver’s license - Required - Including a clean driver abstract for the last three years.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Willingness to participate and complete required training initiatives.
- Forklift Operator Certification (an asset)

Essential Physical Requirements:

- The ability to lift 50/60 pounds regularly.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to work in extreme weather, winter coat provided for onsite work.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly.

Compensation:
The compensation package for this position will be determined based upon knowledge, skills, education, and experience. After a three-month probationary period, employees will have access to a comprehensive benefits plan that includes life insurance. All necessary PPE will be provided including a high visibility winter coat for on-site work (excluding steel-toed safety boots)

The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday 7:30-5:00 pm, at our 45 Slack Road Location. Onsite parking is available.
