**Dishwasher/Prep - Bakery Production Kitchen**

Summerhill Market is hiring a **Dishwasher/Prep** team member to support our high-volume Bakery Production Kitchen. This hands-on role keeps the kitchen clean and organized while assisting with basic prep tasks. We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

You’ll work closely with the Dishwashing and Prep Leads and report directly to the Bakery Production Manager.

**Shift**: Day shift with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate the dishwashing station, including dishwasher reassembly at shift start
- Scrape, sort, and pre-rinse dishes before running through the commercial dishwasher
- Ensure fast turnaround of clean dishes and equipment to support production
- Monitor and maintain proper chemical levels in the dish machine; report issues immediately
- Clean and sanitize dish area (equipment, floors, bins, walls) regularly during the shift
- Perform scheduled deep cleans of dish and prep areas
- Remove garbage and recycling; clean bins as needed
- Assist with light kitchen prep tasks (e.g., peeling, sorting, organizing)

**What We Look For**:

- Experience in a high-volume kitchen or dishwashing environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
- Comfortable using sound judgment to troubleshoot issues and keep operations moving
- Ability to lift up to **50 lbs**, stand for long hours, and work in hot/humid environments
- Willingness to take on varied support tasks beyond dishwashing
- Flexibility with scheduling (days, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime)
- English communication skills required; additional languages are an asset
