The position reports to the Plant Manager. Only second to Safety, Flynn’s Quality focused culture is looking for a Quality Control Manager who will manage the conformance and compliance of fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products manufactured in each facility. Flynn manufactures products that cover various scopes including Glazing, Panels, and Sheet Metal. - A Day In The Life - Supervise a team of QCInspectors - Train, mentor and develop QC Inspectors to be skilled experts in company’s qualityand product requirements - Ensure conformance to industry design and performance standards and procedures - Participate in customer or third-party inspections and audits - Investigate, record, and report results of non-conformances reported by various stakeholders - Develop and implement corrective plan actions to reduce and eliminate non-conformances - Ensure calibration process, to confirm that appropriate measurement tools are utilized - Conduct off-site inspections and at suppliers when required - Perform other activities that may be assigned by production management - What We Offer - Competitive wages and benefits - RRSP Matching - Great environment where our motto is "Flynn Family Winning Together" - On-going career development programs through our in-house Flynn University and eLearning courses - On-site fitness facility - What We Are Seeking - 3+ years in a QC Role within a Manufacturing or Construction setting - Architectural Products industry experience - Aluminum and Glass Fabrication - Experience in unitized curtain wall and metal panel systems - Lean Manufacturing Knowledge is an asset - Strong leadership and management skills, with experience working in a fast-paced deadline driven high energy environment - High Energy and positive attitude; lead by example - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. - CAD and drafting knowledge and experience is very helpful. - Position Summary - Location: Vancouver, BC - Employment Type: Office, Salaried, Full-time - Job Functions: Manager Office Salaried - Industry: Building Envelope CANRO
