**Your Opportunity**

As we continue in our journey to make better use of our data, Power BI has become a more prominent fixture in our landscape. We are seeking a Lead for our Power BI capability to support the organization as we make use of the tool, help us with establishing best practices, actively govern our environment, as well as guide us on how to better use our data to generate insights.

While this role is part of Enterprise Data & Analytics within our Business Experience team, you will be partnering across the organization to drive them forward on their data journey. You will be exposed to, and responsible for enabling, the entire value chain of a global organization that accomplishes operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure Stantec is following leading practices in the deployment of Power BI.
- Design and implement oversight processes on our use of our Premium capacity.
- Host ideation sessions with our business to identify new ways to leverage data.
- Identifying appropriate solutioning which leverage Stantec’s supported tools, including Power BI and Oracle Data Visualizer.
- Support users in their development of insights in Power BI through coaching on DAX, PowerQuery, and effective use of visualizations.
- Develop and host training for users on Power BI’s data preparation and visualization capabilities.
- Support issue resolution within the Power BI environment.
- Support the integration of the Power BI security model with Stantec's security model.
- Design the support model for products built on the Power BI platform.
- Establish centralized data flows for enterprise consumption.
- Adhere to Stantec’s Solution Delivery Framework and Change Management process requirements.
- Support formal user acceptance testing activities such as test case creation, execution, and issue resolution.
- Develop your craft as a data professional as you work with our team and our business to understand their challenges and work with them to build effective, sustainable, and valued solutions.

**Qualifications**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**

- Deep familiarity with the Power BI platform, including data flows, data sets, gateways, and workspaces.
- Understanding of data security and governance.

**Education and Experience**
- 3-5 years of hands-on professional experience with Power BI.
- Demonstrated experience in administering a Power BI Premium environment, ideally in a global organization.
- Experience in planning, preparation, and execution of test cases.
- Familiarity with data management and data governance concepts and methods.
- Understanding and experience working with agile development practices.
- Excellent knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a data analytics environment.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and present technical requirements of proposed solution.
- Have achieved or made progress against the Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (or equivalent legacy certification).
- Experience with finance, HR, and project related data would be an asset.
- Experience with leveraging data from ERPs, particularly Oracle, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Jira, Gitlab, Confluence and the wider Microsoft Power Platform suite is desirable.
