**Compensation**: $17-$18.50 per hour

**About Us**

The Antigonish Golf Club is a vibrant and welcoming community, offering outstanding golf and dining experiences to members and guests. We are seeking a dedicated **Lead Cook** to join our Food and Beverage team for the 2025 golf season. The Lead Cook plays a vital role in preparing quality meals, managing grab-and-go options, and supporting smooth clubhouse operations. This position reports directly to the **Supervisor of Food and Beverage Services** and collaborates closely with them on menu development and event planning.

**Responsibilities**:
**Food Preparation and Service**:

- Prepare a variety of menu items, with a focus on simple, high-quality meals and efficient preparation.
- Manage grab-and-go food offerings to meet the fast-paced needs of a canteen environment.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and proper presentation of all food items.
- Assist with food preparation for larger quantities required during special events.

**Collaboration and Reporting**:

- Report to and work closely with the Supervisor of Food and Beverage Services to align on menu planning, event execution, and food quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

**Flexibility and Department Support**:

- Adapt to varying work hours during high and low seasons, ensuring availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Perform tasks across the Food and Beverage department as needed to support overall operations and business levels.

**Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Follow all food safety and health regulations to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Monitor inventory and minimize waste through proper food preparation and storage practices.

**Qualifications**

**Experience and Skills**:

- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar food preparation role.
- Familiarity with managing canteen-style operations, including grab-and-go options.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

**Certifications**:

- Food-safe certification is highly desirable.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand, move, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.

**Flexibility**:

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
