Position Summary

Responsible for overall Stores and Inventory Activities

Manage Stores using best-in-class practices (5S, FIFO, Safety, frequency of use, space management, security).

Calculate, report on, track, and explain work and MRO management metrics and analytics.

Support the Energy and Facilities and Maintenance Managers in all budgeting activities and cost centers.

Position Responsibilities

Order Parts and supplies utilizing Oracle Ordering System.

Coordinate data transfer from Oracle to CMMS (MP2/eMaint) to ensure inventories match.

Determine proper storage methods, identification and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors (SDS) and physical capabilities of facilities.

Responsible for 5S and 3 Pillar Activity for the Stores Department.

Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures and goods, used or issued.

Purchase new or additional stock and prepare documents that provide for such purchases.

Compile, review and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions and other documents in order to assess supply needs.

Confer with engineering (PE) and purchasing personnel (PC) and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability.

Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.

Recommend disposal of excess, defective and obsolete stock.

Investigate alternative products and/or suppliers to reduce costs.

Ensure compliance with the departments KPI’s financial and business plans and support all other departments to achieve the overall ACI targets.

Work with ALL departments to establish min/max inventory for critical and regular use items. Track MFG Critical items (ISO/POLY, Grease, Isopropyl Alcohol, Dry Ice, Mold Release and Glue) 2 times per week.

Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Distribute/Assign Tasks to Stores Clerks.

Facilitate Inventory Events 2x per Year.

Enforces all safety and work rules; Responsible for the performance of Stores Clerks, including disciplinary actions as required. Performs safety related audits of Stores areas.

Essential Skills and Experience

Experience with Oracle Purchasing/Ordering system.

Experience with eMaint and MP2.

Experience with MS Suite of programs.

Excellent time management skills, self-starter, creative and reliable.

Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Prior Supervisory experience an asset

Beneficial Skills and Experience

Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.

Mechanically/Electrically inclined.

5s and 3Pillar activity
