Carmacks Enterprises Ltd. is looking to hear from you We are currently seeking a **Supervisor **for our Maintenance Division based out of Edmonton, AB. This is position has a 7 day on and 7 day off alternating day/night shift rotation, working 12-hour shifts.

**What is the role?**

The Supervisor leads a dedicated crew responsible for providing maintenance services to a portion of Anthony Henday Drive. Reporting to the Shift Superintendent, the Supervisor is accountable for the direction and supervision of the resources engaged for work production.

Responsibilities include:

- Leads crews to understand daily work requirements keeping all resources safely and efficiently engaged in production toward the goals
- Accountable for checking accuracy, organization, and collection of reporting from daily work activities, including new work identification, timesheets, production reporting, maintenance work sheets, work orders, force accounts, quality reports, inventory management, Flowfinity reports and progress reports
- Carries the culture of the organization, with consistent feedback to resources with high expectations of optimistic, positive, respectful, and ethical behavior
- Participates in hiring, training, performance management, disciplinary requirements for shift resources as required
- Manages culture and morale with team building, rewarding good performance, and privately coaches and discusses employee development and corrective actions if required
- Collaborates with Shift Superintendent to recruit and hire new team members
- Communicates well with shift resources; provides timely and consistent feedback; employs effective communication skills and functions as a communication link between Shift Superintendent and direct reports
- Engages in active supervision through participation and oversight of area activities in the field, including: confirmation requirements have been achieved, completion of any required administrative items, status and completion updates communicated to Shift Superintendent, ensures that crews have adequate resources and oversight of subcontractors while on site
- Ensures continuity of safe, efficient, and cost-effective work progress between crews and shift rotations
- Ensures compliance with the CMSL Quality and Environmental Management System by themselves and their direct reports.
- Ensures equipment is working and operating in a proper fashion, effectively completing any repair requests required with the appropriate paperwork
- Other duties as assigned

**What do we value?**
- 3 years’ experience of team supervision; experience in leading a large team
- Experience in a highway maintenance/construction environment and with highway maintenance/construction equipment
- Excellent working knowledge of computers proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs - Project, Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint
- Valid Minimum Class 3 driver license (with air) and clean driver's abstract
- Possess exceptional understanding of safety processes/tools and hazard recognition
