Under the guidance of the General Manager, this position is responsible ensuring all aspects of the pub operations run smoothly and according to the policies, procedures and goals of the company and government employment standards. The Assistant Manager will support the role of General Manager to increase long term profitability through continuous improvement of team member morale, guest satisfaction and excellence in operations execution. You must provide the highest level of service and care to our guests and to your crew members.

**1. 1.Guest Satisfaction**: Continuously interact with guests to ensure quality of food and service is upheld
2. Always be readily available to the guests.
3. Staff Training and Development.
4. Continued development of Staff Training Program.
5. Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
6. Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, and dismissal of employees.
7. Product Management
8. Ensure that all food and beverages are consistently prepared and served according to the pub’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards. Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the pub’s receiving policies and procedures.
9. Operation Manuals, Policies and Procedures.
10. Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
11. Be knowledgeable of pub policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
12. Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with pub policies and procedures.
13. Fully understand and comply with all municipal, provincial, and federal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the pub, employees, and guests.
14. Oversee and ensure that pub policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
15. Continuously update and record all visitation from authorities in the visitation booking. Record any incidents that occur in the pub at all hours of the day in the incident book. Ensure managers/servers are adhering to all opening, closing, bar and host checklists and have a regular schedule for spot checks.
Oversee and ensure that BOH checklists are complete and have a regular schedule for spot checks
