**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and loaders.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment and ensure safety measures are adhered to.
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete excavation, grading and backfill tasks.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to complete projects on time.
- Maintain equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

**Requirements**:

- Good standing membership in Local 793 OR willing to obtain union membership.
- Must have experience excavating and crossing utilities.
- Minimum three (3) years experience operating heavy equipment.
- Abiltiy to read and interpret utility locate drawings.
- Experience working in high traffic environments an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
