**JOB SUMMARY**

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up and breaking down each morning's breakfast buffet, ensuring buffet items (in accordance to brand standards) such as fruits, breads, cereals and bakery items remain well-stocked, maintaining the safety and appearance of the buffet area and cleaning the area in preparation for the next day. This may include replenishing silverware, sugar caddies and condiments, light to moderate food preparation, refilling beverage containers, mopping, wiping and sweeping. Attendants are also tasked with acting as representatives of the hotel and are therefore required to provide a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere to guests.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The tasks and time spent performing each task may vary as business needs require. The Comfort Inn & Suites maintains the right to modify job duties and responsibilities at its discretion.

**DUTIES**
- Provide personalized service to all guests and cater to guest requests
- Set up and maintain the breakfast bar as required by brand standards
- Take inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
- Order or purchase food supplies
- Prepare foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices from concentrates
- Stock coffee, juice and milk machines or dispensers
- Set up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products
- Set out/arrange cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
- Clear and clean tables as they are vacated
- Prepare and set up hot food items
- Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand
- Restock items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day
- Wash serving equipment and returning to storage
- Return reusable food supplies to storage
- Keep breakfast area clean including removing trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, cabinets and floors, wipe up spills
- Listen and respond to guests’ complaints and report guest issues to management
- Follow all safety and security procedures and regulations while performing daily duties
- Vacuum and mop the breakfast area
- Use proper chemicals to clean counters and breakfast areas
- Maintain uniform and grooming standards (especially footwear) in accordance with standards and procedures of the Comfort Inn & Suites**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Educational Requirements**
- Education Required: High school diploma or the equivalent
- Other Education/Certification/Training preferred:

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour
