**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's daily activities, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience for children.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day and any concerns that may arise.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Early Childhood Education Certificate/ Responsible Adult Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Strong understanding of child development principles, early childhood education practices and the BC Early Learning Framework.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 5J8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
