**Position Summary**:
Students will engage with the generative and formative stages of the UX research process including concepts and techniques used to understand users and their needs, behaviours, tasks, goals, motivations, and challenges before designing solutions/interventions. Students will be introduced to key issues and practices in UX research, including methods for conducting ethical UX research and practices that are based on respect for Indigenous ways of knowing and being. Students will also learn appropriate mechanisms and processes for communicating research results to inform strategy and design decisions.

**Qualifications - Required**: Master's Degree

**Qualifications - Other**:
PhD with a strong emphasis on Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology or Interaction Design preferred

Two or more years teaching at the college or university level, graduate level teaching experience is an asset

Experience teaching or providing training in qualitative UX research

Two or more years professional experience in interaction design and human factors

Prior experience teaching Adobe Suite and Figma

Experience in creating UX Portfolios is an asset
