Looking for an exciting opportunity with a major supplier in the Cooling Tower Industry?

Marmon Industrial Water is currently seeking multiple cooling tower technicians to join our cooling tower teams in Alberta and Saskatchewan

Experienced and/or Journeyman carpenters would assist in the construction, repair, maintenance, and fabrication of all types of cooling towers for our customers with refineries, chemical processing plants, industrial facilities, and power generation plants.

**Responsibilities**:

- Performs field construction tasks including assembly of new towers, minor to major repairs to existing towers, fill and drift eliminator replace and/or install, and water distribution piping install
- Fitting and installing cooling tower components involving lumber and/or wood substitutes
- Installs cooling tower mechanicals such as: Motors, gear boxes, and fan assemblies with knowledge of proper alignment
- Performs preventative maintenance (PM’s) on cooling tower mechanicals on customer sites.
- Additional tasks requested from foreman/supervision

**Requirements**:

- Ability to work and communicate with fellow contractors
- Must have Driver’s license and reliable transportation to work outside Edmonton and Calgary city limits
- Must be able to pass site required pre-access alcohol & drug testing
- Cooling Tower Experience is an asset
- Certified Journeyman Carpenter Preferred, construction experience will be considered
- Work Tasks are Labour intensive (climbing ladders and stairs, carrying/ lifting heavy materials, confined space which includes wearing fall protection, -harness and lanyards

**Qualifications**:

- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able and willing to work with crew and take direction from supervision
- Must be willing and able to perform all jobs safely as per OH&S and Marmon Industrial Water Procedures
- The following minimum safety training are an asset, Fall Protection (8-hour end user OSSA course), CSTS, and Confined Space Entry
- This job does require travel across Western Canada

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $26.00-$41.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- cooling tower: 1 year (preferred)
