**Position Description**:
**Dietary Technician**

We are looking for a Dietary Technician to take part in a multi-centre randomized clinical trial related to the nutrient fortification and growth of human milk fed to preterm infants. In this role, the dietary technician will report to the Principal Investigators of this work.

**Here's What You'll Get to Do**:

- Double-check recipes prepared by other diet technicians or dietitians and prepare enteral feeds as required
- Assist with biological sample collection and milk analysis.
- Coordinate communication among the various partners of the trial including clinical staff, milk preparation room staff, milk bank staff and research team members.
- Data entry
- Participate in clinical research rounds
- Maintain study supplies.
- Other research tasks as assigned.
- The start and completion time of the work day may vary depending on study requirements and working weekend shifts is required.

**Here's What You'll Need**
- Food Service or Dietary Technician diploma from an accredited college or a baccalaureate degree in Nutrition.
- Previous work experience in a milk preparation area in a hospital setting would be an asset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a multi-site research team and to take initiative and leadership when appropriate.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives.

**Employment Type**: Casual (one-year contract with possibility of renewal)
