Weekend Caretaker

**We are currently looking for a part-time non-resident caretaker to provide weekend caretaking services at the Strata Corporation known as Stadacona Centre, located at 1419 Stadacona Avenue and 1545 Pandora Avenue in Victoria, BC. This is a 106-unit strata corporation.**

**HOURS**:7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Either 4 days a week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) or 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday and Monday).

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain the building(s) and grounds in a clean and orderly condition.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance work throughout the building(s).
- Coordinate building move in/outs, including access and use of elevator, installation of elevator blankets, and monitoring of any damages incurred during the move(s).
- Organize and oversee all maintenance contracts in place with the Strata Corporation. This includes monitoring the performance of services being provided by contractors and tradespersons.
- Assist with maintaining various records, including resident information, locker and parking allocation numbers, and a list of current tradespersons and contractors.
- Assist in securing quotes for major maintenance and repair projects, as well as monitor the work being completed by outside contractors.
- Maintenance and upkeep of all tools and equipment owned by the Strata Corporation.
- Maintain pool and hot tub monitoring and balancing water with appropriate chemicals, etc.
- Provide daily detailed timesheets and monthly reports of all actions completed to the Strata Council.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 1-2 years’ relevant experience is an asset, though is not required.
- Pool Operator Course required prior to employment. Employer is willing to pay for enrolment in the course.
- Strong communicator with ability to communicate to owners, residents, property manager, and Strata Council as needed.
- Skillset in balancing various tasks and responsibilities, prioritizing as required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
