Thomas Skinner, the leading Western Canadian distributor of industrial metalworking, and machine shop supplies and equipment, is looking for a Parts Customer Service Representative to work out of our Richmond facility.

Founded in 1904, and with four (4) locations across Western Canada, Thomas Skinner represents Best in Class manufacturers of CNC machines, conventional machines, cutting tools, precision measuring instruments, tool holders, abrasives, workholding equipment, coolants and other machine shop supplies. These products are backed by Thomas Skinner‘s team of dedicated, local, technical sales, service and operations professionals whose goal is to provide the highest level of aftersales support.

**Job Details**:

- Provide assistance, guidance and problem solving to Customer inquiries which come from both end users and our own field Service Technicians.
- Source, quote and follow up on parts requests.
- Verify parts using Supplier bill of materials where applicable.
- Process orders internally and place purchase orders with Suppliers.
- Follow up with Suppliers.
- Follow up with freight forwarders.
- Keep updated on Supplier bulletins and parts/service related issues.
- Involvement in Departmental meetings as required.
- Hours are 8-4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years customer service experience (preferably in the automotive, heavy duty or mechanical parts industry).
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Strong computer skills (MS office Suite, web searching & typing skills).
- Specific industry experience or parts training would be excellent but we are willing to train the right person.
