What You'll Do
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) a Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide personal care of residents in accordance with the residents’ care plan ensuring high quality care and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent
- One year previous working experience in health care, preferably in a long term care setting
Skills & Abilities
- Mature and in good physical health
- Genuine interest in the well-being of the elderly
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability and flexibility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Clear criminal background check including vulnerable sector screening
- Two-step TB skin test
