Construction Coordinator

Responsibilities
1. Assist with project estimation by preparing and sending out Requests for Quotation (RFQs), collecting costs from vendors and contractors, to subtrades and preparing bid forms.
2. Responsible for the overall procurement of the project.
3. Assist with project estimation by preparing and sending out Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to subtrades and preparing bid forms.
4. Review drawings and specifications, and prepare clear instructions for site personnel and subcontractors.
5. Coordinate and manage subcontractors.
6. Manage changes on the project; price and prepare change orders.
7. Communicate with clients, architects, and engineers to control scope and request necessary clarifications (RFIs).
8. Perform other administrative duties as required.
9. Store all relevant project information in the company database
10. Prepare and submit closeout documents (warranty and OM)
Prerequisites
1. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the commercial construction industry
3. Technical degree or diploma in a related field.
4. Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
5. Experience with onscreen take off software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Take off or similar) is considered an asset
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
