**Overview**
This position is responsible for all functional activities related to operating in a scrap metal scale house. In this capacity, the Scale Operator is trained to handle the daily duties of operating the weigh scale, verifying and processing payments for customers.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

- Various administrative duties
- Operate the Weigh Scale
- Build relationships with customers and grow through service.
- Verifies and processes payment types
- Answer scale house/office telephones for customer inquiries
- File scale tickets and ensure accuracy of grading and weights
- Respond to customer concerns
- Handle cash payments and settlements
- Perform end of day reconciliation

**Qualifications**:

- Outstanding customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office, data entry and quick to learn new program
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Dependability
- Works well with others
- Ability to show initiative and support where needed
- Personable
- Health & Safety Knowledge is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
