15 Wing, headquartered in Moose Jaw, is the centre of RCAF aircrew training and is comprised of 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (CFFTS) and 431 Air Demonstration Squadron (CF Snowbirds) both located in Moose Jaw, SK. The Wing is the principal site of the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC). 15 Wing is responsible for three different aircraft platforms that include: CT-156 Harvard II, CT-155 Hawk, CT-114 Tutor, and any visiting aircraft.

You will be part of a team that works closely with the military customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality and efficient VFR air traffic services to DND, at Canada’s Most Notorious Military Airport. Serco Canada Inc. is looking for an Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The successful individual will be responsible to develop, implement, and maintain OHS policies, Environmental policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines, in accordance with legislative and company requirements. Oversee various Quality systems using applicable software program(s), ensure Environmental Management System (EMS), Quality Management System (QMS), Serco Management System (SMS) and any other relevant metrics are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with compliance benchmarks including but not limited to ISO 14001/9001 International Standards.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Advise Management of legislative or other changes in OH&S and Environmental.
- Assists all site personnel, including management, supervisors, and other employees to exercise due diligence in implementing the Serco Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Program.
- Assess all workplace OHS and Environmental compliance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures, and provide assistance to ensure requirements are met, including but not limited to: assist various departments in safety procedures development; conduct safety and environmental audits and workplace inspections; review Workplace Risk Assessments conducted by management, supervisors, and employees and provide assistance in workplace hazard assessments; co-ordinate OHS evaluations and audits and equipment safety specifications; advise on OHS and Environmental regulations and non-conformances.
- Develop and facilitate a training program for OHS compliance, provide briefings and training as required to ensure compliance.
- Monitor staff and sub-contractors for HSE compliance while working on-site.
- Maintain all health and safety records in accordance with the applicable health and safety regulations and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard record control.
- Liaise with Workers Compensation and Safety and Environmental Committees.
- Conduct reviews of all new projects for occupational health and safety compliance.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and ensure compliance with legislative and company policies and processes.
- Prepare OHS and Environmental regulatory reports and other reports as required.
- Liaise with DND General Safety Officer, Program Manager and the Prime’s HSE representative on various issues of Health and Safety.
- Ensure all assigned deliverables and other reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Visibly demonstrate Serco Values and work practices while completing duties.
- Other related duties relevant to this position as may be required.

Qualifications:

- An Occupational Health & Safety Diploma from a recognized college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience working in a health and safety and Environmental position.
- Experience working in an engineering environment would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of federal and provincial OHS and Environmental legislation is required.
- Working knowledge, training and experience in fall protection, confined space, first aid, ergonomics, hazard assessments, safety audits, accident investigations, respiratory protection, hearing protection, power line hazards, trenching and excavation, risk management, asbestos, and mould management, WHMIS, and Microsoft Office and Windows would be an asset.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 SK driver’s license is required.
- Possession of or the ability to obtain and maintain a Ramp Defensive Driving Course (DND/RDDC) certification to operate vehicles on the airfield is required.
