Fowler Construction is seeking DZ Drivers to safely operate tri-axle sized trucks to ensure the transportation of asphalt, aggregates, and earth to and from job sites, ensuring safety and timeliness of deliveries.

**Key Duties**:

- Perform appropriate trip inspections on equipment operation and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
- Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate. Have appropriate permits and transponder if applicable.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with the public, customers, and co-workers.
- Complete and submit all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
- Adhere to height and weight requirements.
- Train others when required.
- Work with crew if time permits.
- Receive training on blocker truck operation and adhere to all requirements.
- Conduct yourself in a professional/mature manner.

**Qualifications**:

- Must possess and maintain a valid DZ or equivalent driver’s license with a clean CVOR.
- Must be knowledgeable of height and weight requirements.
- Must be able to drive a standard transmission and operate air lift axle if applicable.
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., step up and down into truck, sit, kneel, reach, and bend.
- Must be able to read and write to ensure compliance paperwork is completed daily.
- Knowledge of the Muskoka / Parry Sound area is considered an asset.
- Experience in a construction environment is preferred.

**Work Conditions**:

- Travel to various sites will be required.
- Indoor and outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
- Weekend and overtime work may be required.
