We are actively seeking a talented **Special Technical Projects Planning & Implementation** to join our team. As part of the Industrial Engineering process, you will contribute to streamlining production processes. **Summary**
This role will work with all departments and executive team members on assigned projects from project initiation through to project close-out, ensuring deliverables meet budget, cost, timing and technical requirements. This role is best served by a competent, organized, technically trained and self-motivated individual who thrives on collaboration and wants to make an impact.
Reporting directly to the President, the Technical Project Facilitator is an essential member of the team intended to help streamline and support projects that have variable needs and priorities that shift over time.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Assist the President and/or other senior Leadership Team members with various projects that fall outside the normal day-to-day scope of operations.
- Effectively communicate all updates to team members required to support a specific project.
- Assist executive team and department managers with monitoring assigned projects for scope changes.
- Monitor project progress to ensure successful delivery, including identifying potential risks and corresponding mitigation plans. Reacting to project challenges by developing containment plans that eliminate or minimize impacts to projects. Ensure necessary information flow between departments to successfully meet project milestones.
- Lead project meetings, design reviews/projects, and client meetings.
- Assist with procurement of project related materials as required.
- Provide status reports to internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Complete project close-out activities, including archiving of project data, facilitating post-project postmortem and lessons learned reviews.
- Identify opportunities for improvement to company systems and processes to improve successful delivery of future projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Mechanical engineering degree or diploma is preferred.
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- 2+ years of problem-solving experience in a technical environment is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on-time and on-budget in an organizational setting is required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised as well as collaborates within an active team.
- Must have a valid passport and freedom to travel to the United States and/or other countries as needed.
- Must have a valid Canadian Driver’s licence.
- Must be comfortable reading legal documents (not looking for a lawyer level, just comfortable understanding what is being written).

**Working Conditions**
- Will be required to work from the Daltec head office in Guelph, ON.
- May access a production environment where health and safety hazards and risk of injury are always present (temperature, noise, chemicals, machinery, moving vehicles).
- Usually works a standard 40 - 44 hour work week.
- May be required to work some overtime hours to meet project obligations during specific periods of the business cycle.
