**How You'll Perform the Role**
The Demand Planner is responsible for generating and owning the Forecast/Demand Plan for their assigned scope (sales organization and/or products) in partnership with their business stakeholders. The expectation is that the Demand Planner gets to a point where they understand customer behavior and demand patterns as good as, or better than, the sales team. This highly impactful and visible role will communicate and present with stakeholders and leaders across the organization. This role will ensure that the demand signal being used across the organization is aligned with sales and as accurate to be used for making decisions in financial planning, manufacturing asset planning, staffing, procurement of raw materials, and final customer fulfillment. This person will be a key owner in the monthly S&OP process.

**Principal Job Duties**
- Partner with the sales and product/business teams to create the 18-month Demand Plan for the assigned scope
- Keep SKU level forecasts current in the ERP/TM1 system
- Own the Monthly Demand Planning process in the Monthly S&OP cycle
- Perform data clean-up in the ERP/TM1 system
- Analyze, understand and put in corrective actions to improve statistical forecast accuracy
- Adjust forecast parameters in the ERP/TM1 system as needed
- Analyze current plan and assess gaps and opportunities considering:

- Statistical trending
- Meet with sales team monthly to learn of significant changes to current forecasts
- Information from the customer service team
- Meetings with customers
- Economic indicators
- During the monthly Demand Review, summarize the changes to the current 18-month Demand Plan and make recommendations of changes to the owner of the assigned scope
- Following the review, ensure that all demand changes are made in the ERP/TM1
- Be able to review and/or answer questions regarding the Demand Plan during the Supply Meeting and Executive S&OP meeting
- On a regular basis participate in meetings regarding new/unplanned demand and update the Demand Plan to include those changes
- Communicate changes to demand (increases/decreases) to affected stakeholders in S&OP, Procurement and Manufacturing
- On an annual basis, work with the Sales, Business and Finance teams to generate the Demand Plan for the AOP process
- Manage customer specific inventory items
- Manage and improve Demand Planning metrics
- Sales v Annual Plan
- Demand Planning Accuracy
- MAPE and Bias
- Aging inventory
- Facilitate SKU level analysis regularly
- Own and update assigned Master Data in the ERP system
- Participate in sales team meetings to provide inputs regarding overall S&OP and Demand Plan, and to learn significant commercial intelligence
- Other potential projects/responsibilities
- If required because demand exceeds capacity, facilitate the Allocation process
- Work with Supply Planners to address issues regarding schedule/capacity challenges, inventory gaps to plan, and determining the 18-month supply view
- Drive continuous improvements to the Demand Planning process

**What We Need From You** Job Requirements***
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience required
- Relevant BA/BS degree
- APICS or IBF certification preferred
- ERP experience required
- MRP experience and understanding preferred
- Analytical capability
- Advanced Excel
- Databases
- Ability to translate data into information and conclusions
- Ability to communicate the impact of the analysis
- Strong judgement and confidence and business understanding to make decisions and challenge stakeholders
- Ability to communicate with business partners at different locations and different leadership levels
- Ability to travel (up to 25%)
