We are looking to hire Manual Lathe Machinist who is efficient, fast, responsible, and willing to rise the ranks for our client. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operate precision milling and turning machines, to manufacture precision quality products. The machinist is responsible for independent machine setup, first piece validation and exceptional quality. To ensure success as a Lathe Machinist and raise the ranks for this company they require someone who is competent and has a great work ethic.

The Manual Lathe Machinist machines and processes metal parts through the use of a lathe and other systems in the machine shop to focusing on the steel distribution and glass industries.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Create and fabricate metal parts as required by the specifications
- Setup and operate lathes in accordance with approved safe work procedures
- Draw and read blueprints without supervision
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, report any broken pieces of equipment
- Read micrometers, vernier calipers, etc
- Check for tolerances

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years experience in operating Manual Lathe Machines
- Must be able to perform set-up
- Previous work experience using hand tools and measuring devices
- Accuracy and precision in machining of parts
- Strong communication skills
- Strong team player
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

**Experience**:

- Manual Lathe: 1 year (preferred)
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)
- Blueprint drawing: 1 year (preferred)
