Project Manager Governance

Reporting to the Director, Health Project Management and Governance, the Project Manager Governance is accountable for the oversight of complex provincially funded health care infrastructure projects. The incumbent is responsible to participate in various governance, design and development meetings and may be asked to support the development of strategy, legislation, provincial policy, standards and guidelines that are responsive to the changing needs of Nova Scotians and aligned wit the overall strategic vision and mission of the Department. The Project Manager Governance will develop and leverage strategic partnerships to ensure a proactive approach to health care infrastructure planning.
The Project Manager Governance is involved in the oversight of assigned projects (known as their portfolio) and in many of the specific phases of each project in their portfolio. They maintain situational awareness of their portfolio and will routinely report on the status at various governance meetings and as required. They will be proactive in identifying any potential challenges to progress and work to resolve them in a collaborative manner. The Project Manager Governance is responsible for consultation, promotion, communications, and/or development of the overall project and project plans and will ensure all deliverables are policy based and are in alignment with existing departmental policies, priorities, the strategic plan or overall business plan.
