Concord, Canada U Place Home Supplies Full time

Looking for experienced carpet installer (8-10 years experience).
- Able to install both commercial and residential carpet as well as runners/ mats. Must be able to do stairs, carpet tile, carpet base, vinyl tiles, vinyl baseboard, install transitions, baseboard, shoe mould/ quarter round, as well. Will be required to cut and install everything. Must be open to if they can installing other types of flooring. May be required to lift/ move furniture. Must be able to install carpet base.
- Must be contractor with own company, HST registered, WSIB and business insurance/ bonded and a reliable truck/ van to transport items. These are nonnegotiable.
- Jobs become available we call and see if available and schedule mutually agreed upon time. Any time between Monday to Sunday. Property management companies must be done Monday to Friday during the day when they operate.
- Compensation $5/sq yd for installation of carpet. $1/ sq yd for removal. $1.5/ linear foot for baseboard and quater round/ shoe mould. For other types of flooring starts at $1.30 sq ft up to $2 (depends on the complexity and if nail and glue). Responsible for picking up material from our shop or designated distributor (no compensation here). We have bins at our store where they can dispose of carpet/ material for free. Compensation for glue to be provided if applicable and agreed upon OR we will supply. We supply all materials. Runners/ mats have set prices from $75-500 depending on the job which will be communicated upon time of scheduling.
- Compensation provided for repairs (quotes required) and stairs which additional compensation will be provided.
- We have a lot of potential and Jobs. Required flexibility, professionalism and reliability. Must be independent and manage own crew/ contractors who all must be insured.
- You'll will be reporting to material installer/ estimator AND the Vice President

Must be in fill communication and respond. Follow company policies and report any issues immediately before starting job. These are ground for termination.

As a Residential & Commercial Carpet & Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for the precise installation of various flooring materials, including carpets and tiles, in both residential and commercial settings. Reporting to the project manager, you will utilize your core skills in flooring installation and construction, along with your expertise in blueprint reading and carpentry. Your handyman experience will enhance your ability to troubleshoot and adapt to different environments. Pay: $50.00-$4,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Concord, ON L4K 1J7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
