We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented, and hands-on Project Planning & Carpentry Lead to join our team This role requires technical expertise in AutoCAD, CNC programming, and finishing techniques, as well as strong leadership skills to oversee carpenters and manage projects from start to finish.

While we are not currently using AutoCAD or CNC machines, we are looking for someone who can help build these processes. You should be able to look at a picture or website, reverse-engineer the design, create an AutoCAD drawing, and develop a precise cut list. When we implement CNC technology, you will lead change management, programming, and training for the team.

**Job Duties**

Project Planning & Coordination:

- Take a concept (photo, website, or rough idea) and translate it into an AutoCAD drawing & cut list
- Oversee job management from start to finish, ensuring smooth execution
- Conduct site measures and plan production workflows
- Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards

Technical Expertise & Hands-On Work:

- Lead carpentry production, assembling and refining custom furniture pieces
- Perform staining and finishing to meet design specifications
- Supervise installs and final assembly at client sites when needed
- If/when CNC technology is implemented, oversee CNC programming, education, and process integration

Leadership & Employee Management:

- Oversee and mentor other carpenters to maintain quality and efficiencyMaintain inventory counts and allocate inventory appropriately using the project costing spreadsheet.
- Conduct employee reviews, providing feedback and setting performance goals
- Support change management as we introduce new technology, processes, and efficiencies
- Communicate effectively with designers, millworkers, upholsterers, and clients

KPI and Performance Tracking:

- Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project completion, cost, and quality.
- Review and record project progress, ensuring that timelines are maintained and costs are aligned with estimates.

Work Environment:

- Fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
- Off-site coordination may be required (deliveries, site measures, etc.).
- Office and shop floor interaction as needed.

You possess:

- AutoCAD experience
- Strong ability to reverse-engineer designs into drawings & cut lists
- Experience leading carpentry teams & managing projects
- Understanding of staining, finishing, and custom furniture production
- A hustler mentality with a sense of urgency and drive
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and keep projects moving
- Leadership skills, including employee reviews and training

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
