Position Summary:
As a Sausage Maker Apprentice at Halenda’s, you will play a crucial role in the production of our signature sausages and meat products. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and are produced efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of a variety of sausages, including mixing, stuffing, and linking sausages.
- Learn the process of preparing and cutting different types of meats to meet quality standards.
- Participate in quality control processes, ensuring that all products meet company and industry standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including cleaning equipment, workstations, and tools to ensure the safety and hygiene of the food production area.
- Collaborate with the team to create and test new sausage recipes and products.
- Learn to safely operate and maintain meat processing equipment, such as grinders, stuffers, and slicers.
- Assist in the packaging and labeling of meat products for distribution.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and the proper handling of food products.
- Attend training sessions and learn from experienced Sausage Makers to develop a deep understanding of the meat production process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A passion for food production and a desire to learn the art of sausage making.
- A background in the culinary industry is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards.
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
