For more information on WPSHC, please visit our website. **About the Opportunity** We are currently looking for a Personal Support Worker, reporting to the Clinical Manager. The Personal Support Worker (PSW) assists and supports the Nursing Department and members of the multi-disciplinary team. The PSW provides support in activities of daily living for patients for whom the outcomes are predictable and assists nursing staff in the transfer and positioning of patients with more complex needs. The PSW provides patient care within the policies and procedures of the Health Centre under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Registered Practical Nurse. The hours of work will be all shifts, including weekends. **More About You** To qualify for the role, you will need to have: - Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; - Successful completion of a Health Care Aide Certification Program or Personal Support Worker Program from a recognized college; - A minimum of one (1) year previous related experience within the past three (3) years; - Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills; - Demonstrated ability to facilitate positive relationships; - Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references; - Courses in Behaviour Approach (such as GPA or restorative) would be an asset. **Please note**:For the safety and well-being of our patients, employees, and visitors, we require proof of COVID-19 vaccination before commencing employment.
