**ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)**
- Welcomes, greets and serves patients and visitors, assists and directs as necessary. Provides accurate, efficient ED patient registration and all related job functions on an automated patient information system. Armbands all ED patients.
- Provides relief coverage for Main ED Secretaries.
- Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, and Regulatory and Accreditation standards.
- Aligns behavior with CKHA Mission, Vision and Values and Code of Conducts. Participates in the development, implementation and achievement of program goals and objectives and the CKHA Strategic Plan.
- Participates in building a just culture of safety and patient care processes and systems by using sound judgment. Supports and participates in quality improvements, risk management and patient safety activities departmentally and organization wide.
- Improves patient registration and hospital job knowledge through continual education and knowledge-sharing.
- Adheres to attendance standards by maintaining personal health and ensuring regular and prompt attendance at work.
