We are seeking a responsible, trustworthy, and customer-focused Keyholder to join our cannabis retail team. As a Keyholder, you will be entrusted with overseeing daily store operations, ensuring compliance with all legal regulations, and providing excellent customer service. You will play an essential role in opening and closing the store, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Store Operations**:

- Open and close the store in accordance with company procedures.
- Lock and secure all areas of the store, including cash registers, storage areas, and dispensary.
- Monitor and oversee the store during shifts, ensuring all staff comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Supervise and assist in managing the team during daily operations.
- **Customer Service**:

- Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient customer service to all clients.
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their needs, ensuring compliance with Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) regulations.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns in a professional manner.
- **Compliance & Security**:

- Ensure the store adheres to all provincial and federal regulations related to cannabis sales and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment, in compliance with Health Canada and OCS regulations.
- Monitor and enforce ID verification procedures to ensure only eligible customers purchase cannabis products.
- Handle and report any suspicious activity or security concerns to management.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by regularly auditing stock, receiving deliveries, and ensuring proper storage.
- Work with management to order stock and ensure product availability.
- Ensure products are displayed in an organized and visually appealing manner.
- **Cash Handling & POS System**:

- Oversee cash handling and POS transactions, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate.
- Ensure the register is balanced at the start and end of each shift.
- Assist in reconciling end-of-day sales and cash reports.
- **Team Leadership & Training**:

- Assist in training new staff members on operational procedures, product knowledge, and customer service best practices.
- Lead by example, providing guidance and support to the retail team.
- Ensure staff members maintain a positive and professional attitude.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be at least 19 years of age (per Ontario's cannabis retail regulations).
- Previous experience in a retail environment, ideally in the cannabis industry, is preferred.
- Proven ability to handle responsibilities such as opening and closing a store, managing cash, and ensuring compliance.
- Strong knowledge of cannabis products, their effects, and legal regulations (training provided).
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid Cannsel (or willing to obtain).
- Criminal record check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26 - 29 per week
