**The Position**:
The Manager of Health Centre, plays a crucial role in the provision of health services to children and youth at the School. The position encompasses both health and educational objectives and includes providing preventive and screening services, health education and assistance with decision-making about health, and immunization against preventable diseases. This role provides interventions and support for students presenting with illness, injuries and emergencies, communicable diseases, mental health related issues and nutrition.

**Specific Accountabilities**:

- Manage all the administrative duties of the department, including scheduling, training, inventory management, record-keeping and data collection
- Provide leadership and oversight for the provision of health services, policies and programs for JK-12 students
- Provide primary care services (immunizations, episodic illness management, medication adjustment/counselling) to the Grade 9-12 students living in the boarding school, either independently or in consultation with the school consulting physician.
- Lead the development, planning and evaluation of school health policies and for students in collaboration with the College Physician, Social Workers, Boarding School, 3rd party vendors, government agencies and parents, to provide for every student a balanced and supported health and well-being initiatives.

**Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience**
- Diploma or degree in Nursing and current unrestricted registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner
- Experience working as a registered nurse in a health care environment; experience in primary care, urgent/emergency care or pediatric care is an asset.
- Current CPR certificate and recertification annually for AED
- Demonstrate strong assessment/judgment skills;
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and best practice implementation; assessment and instructional strategies;
- A commitment toward continued professional development and growth; and alignment with the school’s values:

- Experience in an independent school is an asset, although not required;
