**Oil Technician (Manufacturing Environment)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Lubrication Maintenance**:

- Perform scheduled lubrication of machinery and equipment, including adding or changing oil, grease, and other lubricants.
- Monitor and maintain proper lubricant levels in all machines.
- ** Inspection and Monitoring**:

- Conduct regular inspections of lubrication systems to identify potential issues or signs of wear and tear.
- Use diagnostic tools to check for proper lubrication flow and pressure.
- Collect and analyze oil samples to monitor condition and identify contaminants.
- ** Preventative Maintenance**:

- Implement and follow preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
- Replace worn or damaged components, such as filters, seals, and hoses.
- Ensure all lubrication points are functioning correctly and adjust as needed.
- ** Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of lubrication maintenance activities, including types of lubricants used, dates of service, and machinery conditions.
- Report any significant findings or issues to supervisors and maintenance teams.
- ** Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies regarding the handling and disposal of lubricants.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- ** Continuous Improvement**:

- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on new lubrication technologies and practices.
- Identify opportunities for improving lubrication processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and keep all coolants to an except able level within the machines.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- ** Technical Skills**:

- Knowledge of lubrication systems and various types of lubricants (oil, grease, synthetic fluids).
- Ability to use lubrication equipment and diagnostic tools effectively.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machinery operation. Environmental Knowledge
- ** Attention to Detail**:

- High level of accuracy in performing lubrication tasks and documenting maintenance activities.
- Ability to identify early signs of equipment wear or failure.
- ** Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve lubrication-related issues promptly.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret oil analysis results and recommend corrective actions.
- ** Communication Skills**:

- Clear communication with team members and supervisors regarding maintenance activities and findings.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- ** Physical Stamina**:

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
- Capability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Technical certification in lubrication technology or machinery maintenance is a plus.

**Work Environment**:

- Work is typically performed in a manufacturing plant or industrial setting.
- Exposure to noise, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.
- Use of safety gear, such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, is required.
