We are looking for a Junior Payroll & Benefits Analyst to join our Finance team. Working with our Senior Payroll & Benefits Analyst, you will support the day-to-day aspects of preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll and ensure BenchSciers across our multiple entities are paid on time and correctly.

**You Will**:

- Deliver accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll for our Canadian team members and assist with US payroll
- Prepare pay registers, process current and retroactive payroll calculations, additional compensation payments, and general payroll troubleshooting
- Respond to employee and service provider requests regarding payroll matters and support Senior Payroll & Benefits Analyst in preparing responses to ad-hoc payroll requests
- Ensure the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is consistent with payroll registers and payroll systems
- Analyze payroll functions, compensation practices and reporting for compliance with local and federal regulations
- Assist with design and implementation of a new global payroll platform
- Prepare reports used by the accounting team to post payroll entries in the general ledger
- Complete Year-End Process, including generation of employee tax records (T4s, W2s, etc.)
- Support the annual compensation salary planning, salary scales, and budgeting process
- Collaborate on compensation projects from conceptualization to implementation

**You Have**:

- 2+ years of experience processing Canadian payroll; exposure to US payroll considered an asset
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Certification
- Demonstrated experience with Ceridian Dayforce
- Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards legislation
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with an emphasis on proficiency with lookups and pivots.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google G-suite products.
- Experience working with and managing sensitive and confidential information
- High attention to detail—you can spot inconsistencies and are proactive in sharing them with your team members
