**Job Title**: Laser Technician and Skin Care Specialist

**Based at**:Dermatology on Bloor, 29 Park Road, Toronto, ON

**Reports to**:Dr. Sameh Hanna and Practice Administrator

Dermatology on Bloor is seeking a full-time laser technician and skin care specialist to cover a 12-18 month maternity leave, with the potential to become a permanent position. Above all this position requires a passion for excellence and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Working directly with our expert dermatologists to create and execute aesthetic treatment plans that best serve our patients' needs
- Performing medical aesthetic procedures (including: body contouring, laser hair removal, skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and chemical peels,) and providing education to clients with regard to pre
- and post-procedure care
- Attending trainings and updating skills as appropriate
- Consulting with clients regarding their skin care concerns and recommending the appropriate skin care regimen and products
- Maintaining complete and up-to-date electronic client records
- Ensuring that all equipment is cleaned and maintained at all times.
- Working collaboratively with other clinic staff, management and doctors to improve efficiencies, processes and procedures in the clinic.

**Qualifications**
- Successful completion of a Medical Aesthetics Certification course
- 1-2 years experience in a busy cosmetic dermatology or plastic surgery clinic preferred
- Experience using body contouring, skin resurfacing, skin tightening/lifting, and hair removal lasers considered a strong asset (training will be available for our particular devices)
- Possess a thorough understanding of the mechanics of skin and skin care.
- Possess an understanding of light and laser technology
- Well developed technical troubleshooting skills
- Well developed communication, customer service and relationship building skills
- Willingness to attend conferences, webinars and other education sessions as required/requested by the practice administrator and clinic directors
- Must be a self-starter and team player

**Pay Structure**:Hourly plus commission. To be determined based on experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12-18 months

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
