AltaGas - P2P Analyst

The P2P (Procure to Pay) Analyst, Digital plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end procurement process within an organization.
They are responsible for ensuring smooth operations related to requisitions, invoices, and overall P2P activities. This role combines transactional tasks with strategic analysis to optimize procurement processes and facilitate overall governance objectives.

You will:

- Create and manage purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and translate them into actionable requisitions.
- Validate and process invoices, matching them with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure timely payment to vendors.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the end-to-end P2P process.
- Work closely with procurement teams, accounts payable, department leads and other relevant departments to streamline workflows.
- Document and maintain P2P processes and standards; provide training as required.
- Build and maintain coding models for complex invoices.
- Provide administrative support for Digital project managers.
- Support month end financial activities (accruals for example).
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process bottlenecks.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, and payments.
- Maintain positive relationships with key suppliers.
- Assist in other Strategic Initiatives, financial analysis, and governance activities as required (ad-hoc)

You have:

- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 0-2 Years in Procurement, Accounts Payable, or related roles required
- Experience with ERP/Finance systems (JD Edwards and/or ePro)
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products (Word, excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
