- **Responsibilities of the CAD Draftsperson include**:_
- Preparing survey base plans from GPS, total station and LiDAR data. Final drawings are submitted in DWG format but are edited using Terramodel (Trimble) software. Terramodel training can be provided.
- Preparing survey layout data from design & IFC drawings from clients
- Creating 3D DTM surfaces from conventional survey data or aerial drone data
- Checking project control data and adjusting surveys for accuracy
- Communicating with field staff to discuss survey data and ask questions.
- **Requirements include**:_
- Completion of a post-secondary program in Civil Engineering Technology or a similar stream
- 5+ years of experience with survey data and drafting. This includes preparing survey base plans from GPS and total station data, making control adjustments, knowledge of survey equipment and practices, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD software (Civil 3D), including experience with Microstation and Carlson
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong attention to details
- Excellent written and oral and communication skills
- Able to take direction and learn quickly. Work will be mostly independent but collaboration with other team members is encouraged. Problem solving and troubleshooting is a must
- Personal vehicle or other means of travel to get to and from office (public transit not available)
**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
