**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Livestock Handling: Safely and humanely receive, move, and sort large livestock (e.g., cattle, bison, elk) into designated stalls or pens.
2. Animal Care: Provide basic care for livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring for signs of illness or distress.
3. Barn Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of barn facilities, including regular cleaning of stalls, aisles, and equipment.
4. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of livestock, health assessments, and any required administration.
5. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members and drivers to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries to yourself or others.
**Requirements**:
1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with large livestock in a farm or agricultural processing setting.
2. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
3. Animal Welfare Knowledge: Understanding of animal behavior and welfare principles, with a commitment to providing compassionate care to livestock.
4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and observational skills to detect signs of illness or injury in livestock.
5. Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
6. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.

Application Process:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
