We are searching for a Chauffeur to join our Parkland on the Glen team based in Mississauga, Ontario.

About the Opportunity

Transport clients to appointments or outings as per the transportation schedule
Greet and meet all clients with a smile and an offer to assist
Assist clients with unloading packages and opening doors
Communicate with the Health Services Department if there is a noted change in the medical status of the client e.g., increased confusion

**Provide assistance to clients as required with**: entering and exiting the vehicle, mobility aides/devices e.g. canes, walkers; carrying parcels or other items, opening doors and entering buildings
Ensure all clients travelling in any Parkland vehicle are safely belted and comply with the Shannex Safety Policies
Maintain vehicles in peak operating condition and carry out all prescribed routine maintenance functions while maintaining accurate maintenance log records
Keep all vehicles used for client transportation services well maintained and clean at all times.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
A high school diploma or equivalent education,
A clean driving record with a valid Class 4 driver’s license.
Knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal safety and traffic laws and regulations is required.
You consistently demonstrate superior customer service skills and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work a flexible schedule including varied hours and shifts inclusive of days, evenings, weekends and holidays is a requirement of this role. Previous experience as a driver/chauffeur and/or experience working with seniors or in a seniors living environment are all considered assets.
