Delivery Truck Driver

**Yard location: Ottawa, ON**
**Workdays: Monday to Friday**
**No Weekends**
**No Statutory Holidays**
**Shift Start time: To be determined between 5:00AM to 7:30AM and work 8 to 10 hour shift**

**What you will do**:

- _**Drive 3 ton vehicle to deliver freights**_ to assigned stops within _**Ottawa and surrounding areas**_
- Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time **(40+ deliveries daily)**:

- Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
- _**Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck (lift up to 70lbs)**_
- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

**What we require of you**:

- High School Diploma
- Valid G Driver’s License
- Clean CVOR and Personal Driver’s Abstract
- Courier or LTL experience is an asset
- Must have 1 year _**COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVING**_ experience
- This shift will be Monday to Friday. 10 hour workdays with start times from 5AM to 7:30AM. Overtime will be paid.
- _**Capable of doing physical labour with a great degree of strength and stamina - lift up to 70lbs**_
