**Overview**:
**Denali Transport Inc. is seeking a proactive initiator and detail-oriented individual with strong communication & organizational skills and positive attitude who has a great sense of timeliness in managing daily duties and events.**
**As a Dispatch Planner, you will**:
- Develop and optimize load plans to enhance driver productivity and reduce overall transportation costs.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely information on orders and delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with the operations team and transportation partners to determine equipment requirements and schedules.
- Develop efficient routing patterns to meet required schedules.
- Provide the highest levels of service to all customers with whom they interact, whether internal or external, with the goal of continuously improving the customer experience.
- Work with the Supervisor, Terminal Operations and leadership team to implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to daily customer service objectives.
- Manage inbound shipment ETAs to maximize planning efficiency and ensure customer needs are met.
- Ensure all documentation relating to the movement of orders or shipments in or out of the facility is completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with dispatchers and transportation partners involved in the daily pick-up and delivery of freight.
- Ensure pick-up and delivery appointments are secured within a timely manner to meet the customer’s requested delivery dates.
- Ensure regular communication with dispatcher, customer service, and transportation partners to plan, track, and manage orders.
- Ensure the collection, audit, tracking and filing of internal paperwork from Drivers (PODs, fuel slips, and maintenance records).

- Work with Dispatchers to ensure Driver hours are not exceeded.
- Understand and adhere to all Transportation Safety policies and guidelines.

**Key Requirements**
- 1-2 years’ experience in planning, dispatch or logistics coordinator role working in a transportation/ logistics environment.
- Academic background in Supply Chain Management or any other relevant field will be an asset.
- Experience working with company drivers, owner operators and third-party carriers.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical; logical thinker with ability to think two steps ahead and successfully analyze different pieces of information and put them together like a puzzle.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Dedicated to continuous improvement and ability to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance results. Ability to manage and adapt to change.
- Approachable, positive demeanor with a hands-on and team-oriented work style.
- Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
- Proficient clerical skills for effective documentation and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Outlook required
- High level of attention to detail required
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct.
- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting.
**Additional requirements**:
- Proof of education is required.
- Additional assessments may be conducted to evaluate competencies, skills and knowledge.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
