**WELLNESS & STEWARDSHIP LIAISON**

**Reduced Full-time Position (30hrs per week)**

**Rate $32.37/hr**

**Position Summary**:Reporting to the Nursing Supervisor or designate, the Wellness & Stewardship Liaison serves a dual role in nurturing the holistic well-being of the Sisters while ensuring responsible management of community resources. This unique position integrates the person-centered approach of therapeutic recreation with the service-oriented approach supporting the Sisters with financial administration.

On the therapeutic side, the Coordinator designs and facilitates meaningful recreational programs that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual wellness. Activities are tailored to the Sisters’ interests, abilities, and values—fostering joy, connection, and purpose in daily life. The Coordinator also acts as a trusted steward to the Sisters, facilitating financial support, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the community’s use of resources.

This includes budgeting, tracking expenditures, and ensuring transparency in fiscal matters.

This role requires a compassionate presence, strong organizational skills, and a deep respect for the mission and rhythm of religious life. By harmonizing therapeutic engagement with financial stewardship, the Coordinator helps maintain the current vibrant, well-supported environment where the Sisters thrive in their missions.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation or equivalent. A combination of education, training, and work experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic recreation principles and person-centred care.
- Experience in a social or recreation program with experience in personal support care, long-term care or healthcare preferred.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and respectful approach.
- Commitment to holistic well-being and ethical financial stewardship.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting and resource allocation.
- Demonstrated discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to build supportive relationships with Sisters, staff and other collaborators.
- Must have strong critical thinking, problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- On occasion may accompany Sisters to outside appointments or social outings. Must be flexible and able to adjust to daily changes, based on operational requirements. Requires a valid driver's license.

The incumbent will have a regular reduced full-time schedule, including weekend shifts, but must also have a willingness to work flexible shifts as required based on operational needs.

**Additional Requirements**:

- A recent (within 6 months) police record check will be required.
- We have a mandatory vaccination and immunization policy in effect. Any offer of employment will be conditional on providing proof of vaccinations and TB testing in accordance with our policy.

Pay: From $32.37 per hour
