**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and safety. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caregiving and making a positive impact on the lives of those with disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges.

**Duties**
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in daily activities including meal preparation and feeding.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse or caregiver.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including those in hospice care.

**Skills**
- Experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care or assisted living is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and working with persons with disabilities is an asset.
- Ability to perform medication administration safely and accurately in the Assisted Living Setting only.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

**Education/Qualification Requirements**:

- Must have a certificate from an recognized institution
- Must have a current and clear CRRP Criminal Record check or be willing to get one

Pay: $29.83 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 37.50 per week

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
