**Job Title**: Printing Maintenance Supervisor
**Department**: Toronto Operations/Printing
**Reports to**: Machine Maintenance Manager and Printing Department Manager
**Shift**: 7:30AM to 3:30PM

Reporting to the Machine Maintenance Manager / Printing Department Manager, the Printing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the planning, managing and directing of Printing Maintenance Operations.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITES**:
Manage the Printing Maintenance Team
- Ensure that all team members are treated in an equal and fair manner, abiding by the company standards of conduct. Be a role model for team members.
- Be responsible for the supervision of direct reporting Team Members, including:
- Set shift objectives and expectations.
- Create team member development and training plans for team members.
- Manage vacation schedules.
- Identify vacancies and work with HR to recruit and hire as required.
- Manage performance of team members as required.
- Conduct workplace investigations, including team member conduct and safety.
- Coach, counsel and/or discipline team members.
- Provide training and feedback to team members.
- Maintain positive team member relations on assigned shift.
- Be familiar with Team Handbook, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety Handbook. Efficiently communicate and enforce these policies.
- Ensure cross-training and back-up support is adequate.
- Manage injured team members’ modified duties and time off from worker’s compensation in the Department, including submitting appropriate documentation as required.
- Monitor and Ensure Health & Safety / HACCP & SQF / 5S Compliance
Manage the Printing Maintenance Operations
- Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance for primary and secondary equipment
- Effectively partner with other managers in daily work and/or projects.
- Order and maintain acceptable spares inventory.
- Maintain the Maintimizer work order system.
- Complete other administrative tasks as required.
Establish and Ensure the Achievement of Performance Targets
- Participate in establishing and adhering to Printing Maintenance objectives.
- Understand and adhere to annual budget and performance targets.
- Meet the targets for people, quality, delivery and cost. Establish and take corrective actions when performance is off target.
- Provide high level of trouble shooting support to team members.
Report and Communicate
- Lead daily shift maintenance meetings.
- Participate in daily operation meeting.
- Review and communicate Printing weekly and monthly performance
- Ensure regular communication takes place with the Maintenance and production team members.
Manage the Printing Continuous Improvement Program
- Participate in the CI program to deliver the department objectives.
- Lead, facilitate or participate in Kaizens.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture.
**SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
**Educational Requirements**: University degree, preferably in Maintenance, Engineering, Management or related area. Equivalent experience can be substituted for degree.
**Minimum Experience/Field**: Three years’ experience in leadership in a fast-paced Lean Manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing maintenance operations
**Communication Skills**: Proven track record working with people, developing and coaching others and skilled at fostering a positive team culture. Adept and practiced in problem resolution and supporting production and business KPI’s. Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with Team Members at all levels of the organization.
