**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in the serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and patient preferences.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Help with inventory management, including stocking supplies and monitoring expiration dates.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery and address any dietary concerns from patients.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with our residents and responding to their meal requests or feedback.
- Participate in training sessions on food safety, preparation techniques, kitchen operations and all required in-services as per the RHRA.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen environment.
- A passion for helping others through quality food service in the food industry is highly valued.
