As the only veterinary clinic in Whistler, we are a bustling small animal clinic providing preventative, medical, surgical and emergency care for Whistler and our surrounding area. Our patient base is primarily made up of dogs and cats, with a few exotic and pocket pet patients and the occasional wildlife thrown in too We are deeply involved in our local community, and committed to giving back through our work with local shelters and initiatives such as our Stryker fund, which provides financial assistance for pets and their families when facing the need for unplanned urgent/emergent veterinary care.

**Responsibilities**:
- Communicate in a compassionate and professional manner with clients and colleagues.
- Execute quality diagnostic imaging.
- Provide excellent veterinary nursing care while adhering to provincial regulations and Fear Free techniques, including administering sedation as required.
- Perform dental cleaning and dental x-rays.
- Run and analyze diagnostic tests as directed by the Veterinarian.
- Assist Veterinarian with surgical and therapeutic procedures, including administering and monitoring anesthesia and analgesia.
- Administering vaccinations and performing blood draws.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Carry out nail trimmings, clip and cleans, hospitalization monitoring, pharmacy dispensing, and more.
- Administrative tasks and creating bills and estimates, as directed by a Veterinarian.
- Maintain and support a collaborative work environment and assist other team members as needed.
**Skills and Basic Qualifications**
- A Registered Veterinary Technician diploma from a credentialed college. (Non-registered Veterinary Technicians may also be considered.)
- Licensure in good standing with the BCVTA.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
- Experience in a hospital setting, and emergency experience will be highly regarded.
- Fear free training certification an asset, but not required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
